Hi guys/gals hopefully someone has experienced this before. I noticed some response in the steering wheel when tapping/slamming the brakes.

Under normal braking nothing is noticed but if I tap the brake pedal I'll get what feels like a bite and steering wheel pulls slightly left. Control arm bushings?

Well that is what mine did when the control arm bushings went.

I had the same issue when my CABs were toast.

Ditto on CABs. Thats exactly what mine ended up being.

Alright so my CAB's are fine. They were replaced around 60k and there is currently 75k on the clock. However while under the car I noticed the sway bar end link on the driver side was torn. Could this be what is causing the bike when reaching for the brake pedal in a hurry?

Car seems normal otherwise.

Sway bar shouldn't have any effect on brake bias unless you're hitting a bump, turning...etc.

Well at least these are cheap to replace and might tighten the car up :dunno

Mine do this every now and then too.

My CAB's are only 15,000 old too.. but I haven't cared enough to chase it that much as it isn't bothering me yet.

Yea it really doesn't bother me especially since I know the CABs are pretty new and it is only noticeable when I'm not paying attention in traffic. I just happened to be under the car checking the transmission type - researching ATF.

My car did this as well.. turned out to be a bad outer balljoint on the lower control arm. (Original 90k miles).
