Last week, I replaced the power steering reservoir and the 2 hoses (actually just one since I cant remove the other one :) ) and as a remedy, i just cut the hose 1 inch before connecting it again at the bottom of the reservoir...

After a 30 min drive last night, right after parking the car inside the garage, my wife smelled something, yes, it the ATF dripping from that hose... The new hose is just sitting on the garage waiting to be installed and do its job...

I tried for hours trying to disconnect the old hose using all the tricks i can think of, no dice... so im looking to buy this tool (BMW 5346), but i cant justify over $30 for a tool that i will using only once...

Anybody here have it? Maybe I can just borrow? :p

I'll split it with you.

Or you can rent it out should people need it.

Good offer Justin...

Lets wait till the end of this day, maybe some other members are willing to chip in and have this like a "familia tool"...

You should be able to find generic versions of those tools. Just have to find the right size for BMW hoses. Of course, I can't find a link now for one. I remember someone here mentioning before that they had one.

I did find it on Ebay for $22 and free shipping.
