That is an interesting description... so his is somehow a Euro ZHP? Also, AFAIK La Jolla Symbolic does not deal with BMW's so I'm not sure how he had them do repairs on his car. I don't think they even have a shop. They are a Rolls/Bentley/Lambo dealer and only BMW I've ever seen there was a Z8. Maybe he meant La Jolla Independent BMW which is down the street from them.
