New to this forum, but not new to the e46 chassis :).

My brother's fiancé just picked one up (Marc Biunno's), which probably means I'll be finding myself to some ZHP events and/or working on her car from time to time.

My primary car is a 2005 Imola/Imola M3, which I bought new (130,000 miles now). I also have a e36 M3 track car.

Journal of my M3 (warning: long): http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=222093

I'm also fairly obsessed with preventative maintenance, which seems to be a trend around here :thumbsup. Wrote the thread on it on M3 forum :D
http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=190111

I'm also fairly certain that I think the ZHP is the best non M BMW ever made :thumbup

Just so you know, at SIGFest, I will be driving her car with the owner in the passenger seat, as per tradition :) jk hopefully my jalopy will be able to make it down for the third go round. They made a great decision picking this car up. And you guys seem to have found happiness in the Imola Category, with a whopping two IR BMWs. Congrats! Would like to see you and the M at next years SIGFest!

That's amazing! The chassis is still the most desirable part of the car. I used to be on RennSpeed and that was like the holy grail of swaps for them...only issue was seeing one followed through to completion.

It doesn't actually sound like that anymore. In that video it was ebay headers, borla V2 mid, and Scorza muffler. I'm not full SS-- headers, midpipes, and muffler. Much quieter setup (may be same volume as stock, albeit with better (imo) tone).

Agreed-- I'm a big fan of 944s... And the LS swap really addresses their biggest weakness.

There is a kit available for the 996 now as well which swaps in an LS powerplant. Not a bad move at all if you don't have a Turbo or GT3(both of which were relatively immune to 996 engine failure).
