Hi guys, new guy here with a ZHP transplanted to Atlanta.

I'm John, the proud new owner of Bruce's (BCS_ZHP) TIAG Coupe.

We picked up the car from Bruce and drove it back to Atlanta down the Blue Ridge Parkway. What a great way to get to know a new car! Here is a picture taken at about 5,000ft somewhere during the road trip.

So far I am really loving this car. I got it as a weekend toy/hobby. I am really not sure where I am going with it, but have thoughts of the occasional track day, learn some DIY, etc. Although my original plan was for it to only be a weekend toy, I have been daily driving it since I picked it up. I just don’t want to stop driving it. What a great car.

Thanks to Bruce for selling me one of his babies, and introducing me to ZHPMafia. I look forward to hanging out and hopefully gaining some knowledge.

Welcome John.

And a story John shared with me from his trip home along the BRP -- there a stretch near Asheville with several tunnels to go thru. For each tunnel, John stopped at the entrance, rolled down the windows and listened to the exhaust music as he went thru the gears. His wife thought he was nuts for doing this, repeatedly no less. I assured John it was perfectly normal for a member of this Family.

Again, welcome and glad you finally made it over here.

Ryan and Kyle took us through those tunnels when we visited them in September... We did silly stuff like that too :shift

Welcome! Whereabouts are you in Atl? The Atlanta fam is growing.

I am in the North Metro, Alpharetta/Johns Creek area. Are there any other ATL ZHPs around? I have been keeping an eye out now that I am "educated' on the E46 and know what to look for. There are a few nice E36 M3s running around this area that I see often, but have yet to see a ZHP.

I am getting ready to take the car in to baseline my maintenance. Work has been crazy, so I thought I would let my local Indy do the baseline, then ease into some DIY as I find more time.

Thanks again for the welcomes. Nice to find a mature/civil forum.

Charlie -- I think John will attend, his wife has family in Southern MD so he can drop her off and then participate in our "cult" event. We just need to apply a little family peer pressure. And that car was present at the 2012 meet, my son Preston was driving it.

There's a couple floating around - at least one less since Ranger lost his.

We're probably pretty likely to cross paths, I'm in Roswell. Silver gray sedan with a euro front plate and yellow DRLs. Wave if you see me!

I've actually seen 2 or 3 others in the east cobb/west fulton area pretty regularly but more often than not am in the truck. The few times I've been in mine and waved it's a 40something woman looking at me like I'm crazy.

Happy to spin a wrench and lend a hand for DIY anytime. PM me.

All right! I will be on the lookout for you. Should be easy to spot with that distinctive front end.

I plan to get into some DIY, especially after getting my first maintenance bill. I might be taking you up on the offer. Thanks!
