View Full Version : Some Good Cleaners?

Gonna be getting my car back from paint this week. In case you don't know, that usually means it is going to be really dirty. Either way, it needed some severe cleaning. Can you guys recommend me products to clean with?

Leather: NO SHINE Products, please. Looking for matte.
Spray/liquid of some sort.
Washing utensil (mitt, sponge, brush, etc)

Vinyl (dash, trims, etc): NO SHINE Products, please. Looking for matte.
Spray/liquid of some sort.
Washing utensil (mitt, sponge, brush, etc)

Also, are the doors leather or vinyl? Which cleaner do I use on them?

What is a good exterior wash as well?

The reason I ask is because I do not find the run of the mill cleaners at O'Reilly very effective.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Gonna shred my interior while I have time between semesters.

click on the affiliates link at the top of the page and go to Detailer's Domain, they have everything you need.

To start off, buy Leatherique. Thank me later

What am I buying exactly? Cleaner, rejuvinator? Both?

both, Rejuvinator and Prestine Clean.

They also make dye kits and scratch repair but you probably have to order that stuff direct

I have had great experience w/ leather masters for the seats and other leather pieces.

for interior I really like 303 aerospace.

For exterior wash. I have Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II, but citrus wash and gloss is also good!

this mitt is awesome http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-X3002-Microfiber-Wash-Mitt/dp/B000RXKR6M/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356564808&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=meguiars+wach+mitt

And, use the two bucket wash method

Good stuff! Do I need a nozzle for Chemical Guys? Or is just a mitt okay?
