Well F me. Started sputtering so I went to get codes read. Shows p0174 p0171 p0491 p0492. As I try to leave to take it in to the shop, she won't go. Just starving for air/fuel. I hope this will be ok.

I would guess it is the original pump. Cars has 143k.

These 2 are for the secondary air pump though... Different problem that shouldn't strand you. First 2 are prolly the fuel pump. Good luck!

Fuel pump or clogged filter.

Once you get confirmation that it is the fuel pump... as someone who just experienced this failure, I'd encourage you to do the replacement yourself; it's a 15 minute job that can be done entirely from inside the car with basic tools; there are youtube tutorials readily available. The dealer wanted to charge me $900 to do mine, whereas I bought my own replacement from turner motorsport for less than $200. It's seriously about as easy as DIY maintenance can get.

The one recommendation I'd make is not to try to reuse the crush-type hose clamp that secures the fuel line to the pump nipple; it's much faster and easier to replace it with a reusable screw-type hose clamp.

Best of luck with the diagnosis and repair!

With 143K I would change the fuel pump and filter anyway. Sounds like the fuel pump went out.
