My car story. I purchased my 04 ZHP the end of January from the cars 2nd owner. The car was originally purchased in Hollywood Cali in 04 and was sold at auction in 07 with 42000 miles on it. The person I bought the car from purchased the car in 07 and kept it garaged since then. He only put 10000 on the car the whole time he owned it. I call it my garage fine since it hadn't been licensed since 09. I am the 3rd owner of the car with only 52000 miles on the clock.
When I bought the car it Tramlined pretty badly. I had an Alignment done on the car, Installed new Michelin PSS Tires and this fixed about 90% of the problems. I later found that the steering had quite a bit of play in and I had the Steering (Guibo) Coupling replace which took care of the last 10%. I had the front suspension and bushings checked out twice and both times all looks good. Overall this car looks like new and I am loving it. The ZHP sounds so good from 3500 rpms and up! :)
I live in Utah and this car is my new Daily Driver, replacing my 05 Subaru WRX STi. My 2011 1M is my Garage Queen
I have bought two new BMW's and picked them up in Germany on European Delivery. 07 E90 335i, 11 E82 1M. My wife drives a 2011 Mini Clubman S Hampton Package

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you've got a fine set of cars! My little brother had an '05 STi, fairly well modded, was a blast to drive... Definitely enjoy the ZHP much more though, more refined, more modest, and still a lot of fun. Enjoy yours!!
BTW, what color is your 1M? That car is amazing... :drool

Yes I did get the custom Polo. It was a very nice gesture on behalf of BMW M group to offer these a year after we bought our cars.
My shirt says "1M 293 of 740

It is very annoying. BMW's shouldn't drive that way right. Alignment and Tires are usually the culprit.

Yeah, it's pretty bad but I always thought it was just something I had to deal with considering I have summer tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE040). The car will suddenly swerve on even the smallest divots in the road. It's a shame since these tires are almost new! Alignment seems fine.
Another vote for pics of the 1M! Valencia Orange would have also been my color of choice.

Oh, what tires did you have before you installed the Michelins? I've been reading up a little about tramlining:
"Simply bin the Bridgestones, they are the worst tramlining tyres I've ever driven on. When I had a 330c I changed to Michelins which practically eliminated the tramlining." - http://www.bmwland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=64573
LOL, I figured with my luck...

The car had Falcon tires on it. The rears were almost to wear bars, front about 50%. I am not a fan of them. I am however a huge fan of Michelin's, both PS2 and now the new Pilot Super Sports are such great tires.

I just posted a question in the tire section, what are your thoughts on the differences between PS2s and supersports?

I have PS2's on as OEM's on my 1M, I have had 2 sets on my previous cars as well. Each set was great. The Big advantages the PSS has over the PS2 is in Cost and overall tread wear. Replacement PSS's for my 1M are more than $100 per tire less, plus all indications say the PSS are good for ~10,000 more miles than the PS2. If you look the PSS up on Tire Rack you will find that it's the Number 1 rated Max Performance tire today, and they also report improved handling over the PS2.
I personal think there is no more reason to buy the PS2. I hope this helps.
