I was the same exact way. Personally not a fan of the gray or the nat brown.

To the OP, you should be able to find that car fairly easily.

Why is it CA seems to have so many ZHP's listed on Craigslist. Population or pocketbooks perhaps??

High cost of living makes cars seem cheaper.

I recall reading somewhere that a good portion of ZHPs were allocated to CA dealers when they came out... maybe because there were more dealers here, :dunno along with some of the top volume dealers in the country (along w/NJ I believe) so they got 'em.

If you should find a ZHP that you like (aside from it being equipped with the Nat. Brown interior), I am sure you could sell it to a family member, probably in less then 24 hours. G/L with your search!

Well the chances of a perfect nat brown is next to impossible! I cant find anything black, yet brown

and yes there are a lot for sale, but most of them want between 18-22k for 100k + miles with no maintenance papers -_-, those are the worse.
I'm having trouble finding one that responds to an email/call and has a price to it! impossible now a days that most value their zhp to be tip top price for 50 problems -_-

I would rip my grey interior out in three seconds if I could get my hands on a clean nat brown interior.

Dont want to bash on him, but i already checked it out, hes reluctant to take it to a mechanic shop to have a weird noise checked out. And he told me he already had a buyer for 15k, guess that guy flaked 2, second guy on him...

In all honestly price. People area asking 16k+ for cars with over 110k miles -_- if I'm paying 16000, I'd rather get an m3 with the same mileage. I understand its a rare car, but that hefty price is definitely not worth it. Also a lot of people are not answering emails/calls about their cars, which makes it even more irritating.

Ponder an M3 very carefully. Yes, you might find the same price range for similar mileage BUT the insurance costs & maintenance on an M are considerably more than that for a ZHP.

I agree with Bruce. Keep in mind maintenance is reflected on a cars retail price when it was new. Zhp are $40-$45k cars. M3 is a 60-70k car.

True, however my father is mechanic. I get parts for about 50% of what most people do so my maintenance on all cars is price of part, and that is fairly cheap for myself. I'm not worried for maintenance once the car is under my hands, only worried about the previous owners, and any car in which I do buy, will be thoroughly looked through.

A couple of BIG ifs but if IR and conv would scratch your itch, I'll stand my wife's car up against any other ZHP in the country, there are only a few that may meet it, even less that would beat it for condition & care. This car has attended all 3 ZHP eastern meets, many here have seen her and can vouch for its condition.

I would LOVE your car. That price makes me want to cry however.. Perfect price but seems to exceed.. Would your wife want a brand new car maybe? maybe work out a trade if interested? If not it would take me a while to collect the funds.. but YES I do WANT your car. Absolutely perfect.

If its a yes, email me @ ghazariantomik@gmail.com

I should have a clean black/black ZHP coupe for sale relatively soon. It's got 91,xxx miles on it and 14k miles on the motor. Active Autowerke rebuilt the engine when it was supercharged last year. It was driven for 14k miles until it was involved in a front end collision recently. Clean title car, owner only decided to sell it as he has a newborn and wants an X5.

I'm keeping the supercharger setup for my zhp and returning the car to like new/stock condition. I should take delivery of it this week. It'll be off to my mechanic for a very thorough inspection and then to the body shop.

It'll be a few weeks before the car is up for sale, I'm very thorough and anal; quality work takes time. I'll log the revival of the car on this forum in it's own thread.

If you're interested, you can PM me. I'd love to see it go to a mafiaso!

Not sure if you have seen this one.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/4077965469.html

I checked it out, it is in pretty good condition. Do need a few minor things (the sunroof rail is broken, passenger airbag light is on, the driver's seat has some torn thread may just need a sewing). Cooling system has not been touched though, so prepare to put some money and work there.

Other than that, decent car, and very good price.

Indeed. Sapphire black is very beautiful and HARD to find as a coupe. I took delivery of the car yesterday and took it all part. The damage is not bad at all. It's off to the body shop now :). My mechanic was very impressed with how well kept up the car is.

The interior is nearly perfect. Surprisingly enough it still smells like a new car. The back seats and passenger seat look as if they've never been sat in. If it were a sedan, I'd sell my Silbergrau DD and keep it for myself. Oh well. The new owner will be very happy with the car!
