So I "dipped" my 135's in the GunMetal color of PlastiDip. Initially I thought it looked pretty terrible with the imola. Too blue. I was gonna peel it off for sure. Now I can't really decide. I still feel like it's too blue, but maybe not as bad as I thought. Pretty sure I'm gonna peel it. Wanted to get ya'll's thoughts though!

If nothing else, it's a good example of what gunmetal looks like next to imola. Apparently it's hard to find a picture of that!

Not a fan. Doesn't match anywhere else on the car and looks out of place. I would try black chrome or high gloss black, white or bronze.

Too blue IMO. I'd go back to stock, I'm not a big fan of black wheels.

Does it need to be said again?!? Lol... Peel it and go black plastidip, as Devlin posted. Looks very aggressive in person....

Haha, sounds like we have a consensus. My winters are black, so I'm gonna leave these stock I think. Should probably get them refinished, though...

Good call on the peelage. I've personally never been a big fan of black. Especially if you're going to drop serious coin on some fresh wheels its kind of defeats some of the purpose if you can't really see them. A gloss or powdercoat black at the very most, matte just doesn't do it for me.

Winter wheels are a different story...but
"Different strokes"

At least you tried it and figured out you didn't like it? :)

Use goo gone or purple power and soak the rim comes off easier

I'm gonna try my steamer this weekend...kinda worried about whatever I try peeling the wheel paint too! It's really hard to get it off between the really close together spokes.

Purple power didn't hurt my wheels but I didn't let it sit on there for a long time. Just enough for things to loosen up then hit it with a power washer.
