Almost at 111,000!

It's amazing how the car looks like it doesn't even have 40. (everywhere except the rock chips in the front :( )

She drove me to the airport in it this afternoon -- 18,300. Wow, 6-1/2 months and she's already doubled the mileage, think she likes it.

Keep her clean and feed her the fluids she likes and she'll take care of you. As she ages, her character & flavor gets better just like wine. The odometer is nearing 142,000 miles for me! I just did some minor eye surgery and fixed an angel eye because it was half on/off. Just took them out and resoldered the connections so she doesn't have a black eye anymore. I'm sure she appreciated that...LOL

Haha-- That's 12,000 miles since purchase last November.

Granted, it's not DW mileage, but it's a little better than Marcus mileage...

I really wanted to keep her to 10k or less a year-- you see how well that's working out.

Discovered the same thing yesterday with the wife, 9K miles in just over 6 months, but I'm planning to take it out of commission for the winter. For the life of me, I don't know where she does all this driving ... she needs to find a boyfriend who lives closer.

In the 1 year I've had it, the official mileage figure estimate (plus or minus a few hundred miles) I've driven it is 32-33k miles. Purchased 2010/08/26 with 75,963 miles.

I've done that. Instead of a dirty tractor trailer I picked Motorcoaches. They are clean and the rear overhang from the rear wheels is far so any projectile is kept below the coach's bumper. I got 38.5MPG on a 300 mile trip. LOL. Amazing! I like your sig DW. :)

Do the superchargers decrease the life of your engine? I've wanted to do mine for years, but never before saw systems that were affordable, look factory fit, and don't have to modify something. I definately dont want to splice wires, cut anything etc. plug and play or not for me. but must say quick searches seems the systems are getting more close to what i want than they were 2-3 years ago when i last dreamed.

Not many that I know of. Frankly, for me, no way I could afford one of those new at $50K in '06. Even if I could have, it would have been hard to justify. So, would have loved to have been an OG, but just glad I'm the 2nd G. :) And yes, the new ones aren't the same, I need something that's "not special".

You and me both. They are getting tempting. Still the cost is pretty high. Logic says don't do it as the percentage of the value of our cars make FI a true money sink, but since when does logic apply to cars? :)

I was out the door brand new for 42k, that included finding the only fully loaded silver gray with black leather, and black cube trim in the entire east coast sitting nice and pretty in virginia. Had to pay 1k to get it down here. I hear i pretty much stole it from them in 2004 ;-)

That is so awesome. I bet too, that toward the end of production you could get good deals, as I know a mafia member who did. But I'm thinking sticker on my '06 ZHP Vert w/Nav, etc was likely $50K.

I'm a hard sell for a dealership. My shortest ever negotiation was 4 hours, but it netted me a 2000 vw passat fully loaded top model for $21k out the door with a handfull of free oil changes and tank of gas ;-) I don't care how much they think the car is worth with their volume, discounts, etc..I'll give you 1-2% over actual invoice or i'll go another dealer or even another manufacturer. I used to be die hard honda, had bought 4 cars new from a local dealer over the years, then when the wife wanted the Odyssey i got the 'oh no..there is a 3k mark up on MSRP non negotiable cause we can't keep them on the lots' which was true in 2000, but msrp...are you kidding? who pays that?

Falling behind Bucko!!

Falling behind my azz; you work far away. 95% of my mileage is PLEASURE; I only work 7 miles away! Sounds to me like you're falling behind, DW. :biggrin

Some interesting tidbits;
I purchased with 75.9k on August 26, 2010. I now have 109.4k.
An average weekend for me consists of anywhere between 140-400 miles of driving.
This car sees track usage, so those miles add up too (a day at the track easily computes to 60 miles each way to and from, plus the 80-90 miles on the track. Next year, I'll be driving 5 hours each way to Watkins Glen, plus the day at the track, on top of my regular Lime Rock visits)
I can easily rack on 40-50 miles a day of around town putting around, doing errands, etc.
I regularly go on spirited drives, which are about 40 or so miles in length for the close ones and 100+ miles in length for the farther roads.

Lawrence,

If you have a "properly maintained" bimmer then mileage should just be a "number", nothing more. My ///M has 139k on the odometer but it's been very well maintained so I don't worry about the number. I am always looking to do something, preventive maintenance related, on it to keep it in pristine condition. Same thing with my ZHP, I have just over 111k on it and am getting ready to take my first long distance trip over the weekend with it.

The point is if you maintain your car then you shouldn't have to worry about mileage...:thumbsup

The real number of the beast (Maiden reference intentional) is 616. Heard this a while ago on History Channel. Just looked it up on google:

I am getting about 18 mpg. My commute to work is less than 4 miles round trip so my engine runs cold most of the time. I get between 250-310 miles/tank and I fill up about every 2-3 weeks. I attached a gas log going to April of 2010. I might have posted it in a different thread by I don't remember. My car is automatic and is stock except for the Dinan intake. If I had to guess, 20-40% highway and 60-80% city driving.

I took a 35 mile trip one time and I reset the gas mileage indicator in the car and I got 29 mpg (according to the vehicle computer). The trip was almost all highway ~95%, it was late in the evening and no traffic, 65-75 mph, 2 passengers (~300 lbs combined). The cold engine is what I think saps the mpg. I'm not too worried about my mpg due to not driving much and not filling up often.

Do make sure to give it a nice long run so everything heats up and burns off. Multiple consecutive cold runs will really start playing havoc on the exhaust system, especially the catalytic converters and oxygen sensors. Give it a good boot once it's warmed up! :D

2004 Sedan

Currently sitting at 58,600.

I'll be hopefully giving her a full detail and tucking her in for the winter this weekend before she hits 59,000.

Meric, you were the one that thought you had a US-Spec ZHP weren't you?

If so, the proof is in your picture. Your cluster doesn't have the orange needles, nor does it have the 6900 redline

he now knows he's got the Canadian-spec M-Sport Package, which in actuality is probably a lot rarer than the ZHP...

How so? I see M-Sports frequently in classifieds over the pond. Is it only because it's Canadian?

I did. But in it you said that you're almost certain you have a ZHP. Which is a US only package, and the US ZHP's come with the speedo/cluster that differs from yours

ZHP is US.
ZAM is the Canadian equivalent.

There is another Canadian only package and that is the M-Sport. We've determined that Meric does indeed have an M-Sport.

Oughh no I though I had an performance package. I didn't wanna call it ZAM because it sounds weird and not all people knows that ZHP=ZAM.

i don't really know, i was figuring that Canadian M-Sports are fewer in number than US ZHPs. might not be...was just guessing.

I know. But in his thread he said he thought he "had a ZHP." Which is implying that his car was a full-on US-Spec ZHP like all of ours.

Just trying to get this sorted out.

He didn't know if everyone would understand what he meant when he said ZAM, so he called it a ZHP...which has the same exact specs minus the cluster. Everything is gonna be okay, Dalton :)

Yes Nike I know performance package is ZHP Or ZAM... My car does not have any performance package on it it's only M sports package II and m aerodynamics II?.... I do not own a ZHP. I just posted a picture here I know my car is not an zhp and this threat says for zhps.
