I need to get a new clutch!

Do you guys know if the zhp has the same clutch?

ANd when did you guys replace yours , and how much did you pay

Clutch is the same IIRC.. the flywheel is different though

Zhp has the same clutch as what?

My Dad paid 900 for labor at a local shop to have his clutch changed, and his dual mass flywheel resurfaced.

Based on your username, "415" I assume you live in the Bay Area? I would highly recommend Performance Technic out in Pleasanton. They do awesome work, and they are die-hard BMW enthusiasts. They love the E46 chasis, they have a E46 M3 race car!

Replaced my clutch at 60k, 2 years ago at a BMW indy. Paid $930 ($420 for parts, $510 for labor). Two BMW dealers quoted me $1500, and another BMW indy quoted me $1700. All without adding cost of replacing flywheel. Flywheel ended up not needing replacement anyway. OE clutch kit.

My friend did it on his 330ci non zhp. Had nothing but issues, ended up redoing it all after 5k miles, all new OE. He said never again.

Is it worth getting something other than the stock ZHP clutch/flywheel if you plan to boost later on? I'm not talking about stupid power but enough to outrun a stock e46 M3.
