Thanks, man. Fuel pump is a possible culprit according to the link.
Per PO, the problem started 2+ years. I wonder if that could point to another suspect(s) as well.
Edit: Ignition switch is another possible reason.
How many miles on your car? Mine went out at 110 thousand.
140,000 miles. Yeah, ignition switch and/or fuel pump may be needed.
fredo, if you replace your fuel pump, you might as well replace the fuel filter as well. Just a suggestion...
Fredo, I changed my pump on my 15 minute break at work when it went out. If you have a new one just go ahead and switch it out. Mine showed no issues on the 50 mile ride to work and when I went to start the car to go get a drink at break it was dead.

At $100 for a vdo fuel pump and your mileage I would replace it
