You.Have.No.Idea.
You and I share the same phobic response to spiders. Let me tell you about the time I was standing on a picnic table...

Sort of...
Me, in full battle rattle with an M4, screaming off the range like a little girl when a shit ton of tarantulas walked near my range as I was teaching a class to a bunch of young, tough GIs. Standing on the picnic table, wondering what the hold over was for my rifle, if I needed to put some 5.56 in the creepy crawlies as a bunch of 20-somethings laughed their collective asses off. Not my proudest moment as a ninja.
lol those reactions are hilarious. I'm more of like a "ok I see you there. I'll leave you there until you get in my space, then you die!!!" But lately, I've been pretty ok with them after coming back from VN where there were spiders in my hotel room every day. I'd wake up and always seem to find one stuck to me. I'd actually move them around while they are hanging onto their webs and then stick them onto other more skiddish people :rofl

Yeah that was me like the first few days LOL. They were huge. I was cleaning the shit out of the room and spraying bug repellant everywhere. From then on, all the ones that got on me were like a quarter or less. I guess baby ones or something. I got bitten like 4-5 times (I still have a spot on my neck) and since they weren't poisonous, it didn't bother me anymore.
:rofl
