I think the DRL's kind of wash out the A/E's imho.
^ that's the point lol...not to see them. Then, when I turn on the headlights, you see them since the DRL's turn off.
:confused
Finally made time to replace Vanos seals and VCG along with an oil change this past weekend. DIY from Beisan and tips from the Mafia made it a very straightforward job. Took about 8 hours in total with several breaks. The most tedious steps were slicing off the old seals without gouging the pistons and the tightening of all 15 valve cover bolts. After about 150 miles of break-in, the improvement in low-end torque/throttle response/milage are significant and I am super pumped! It just flatout pulls hard all the way to 6800rpm and the 4k power dip is barely noticeable. She is also idling more smoothly and the exhaust note sounds a little deeper as an added bonus.
Combine that with the new front CAB's, front rotors and 4 new ceramic pads and BMW perf intake all done this summer the car feels completely transformed yeaaaah buddy.
nice! all of that is on my list...eventually
out of curiousity, what's your current mileage?
Cool, that is my next planned project after my tires/alignment!
I'm at 84k. Was burning through a quart of oil every 1k, maybe more, and it was pooling on the runners on the left side of the valve cover. First gear acceleration was especially jumpy at various points in the rev range. All of that has been corrected and it honestly feels faster than when I bought it with 44k. I put her up on ramps and drained the oil prior to doing the seals/vcg so I would definitely recommend that. Also made it easier on my back to have it elevated....
So...does oil still "pool" in that area?
