Last night I finished cleaning my new black carpets so today I will be disconnecting my battery on the ///M to begin the full interior swap process. Progress is going to be slow, but deliberate, as I begin dismantling and take pictures of everything inside... looks like the ZHP will be outside once again while I'm doing all of this. Going to use the 2nd garage as a staging area for my ///M's interior. I plan to take lots of pictures along the way detailing the entire interior swap/CSL parts install process...;)
Chuck, may I recommend buying all new hardware for the interior.
As always, looking forward to the updates.
That makes the both of us Matt! :)
Sounds good Dario, in fact that's what I will be doing. Thanks for the reminder! :thumbsup
Thanks Rando! I'm sure I won't disappoint here :)
While updating my ZHP project thread, I realized that when I mentioned that the ///M was in full hibernation mode, the ///M is in fact sort of in a shell awaiting it's transformation as I get ready to completely change out it's grey interior for an all black interior with OEM CSL door cards. The CSL rep bootlid will be replaced in favor of an OEM CSL bootlid and the car will be sorted out for the next season until I have more $$$$$ saved up to get the Recaro Sportster CS seats.....
Anyway, that's the goal for 2014 folks...;)
Tonight I'll be starting the prep-work to set up my garage so that I can begin the fun task of taking everything out of the ///M's interior for the upcoming swap. Fortunately, the weather has been fairly warm so I plan to begin this very soon ;)
Awesome! Chuck, can't wait to see. Remember to take it slow! Some things will frustrate you, and when they do, it's better to just take a break and return to it later. I've broken a few things not listening to my own advice. :rofl
This is going to be crazy mod O_O good luck
Thanks Dario! Yeah, I've been thinking about that....I figure I will have all winter to get this done. I'm good doing the door panels/seats....done them before. I also have access to some friends who have done their entire interior before so I won't be going at it all alone...;) There will be lots of pictures taken for this upcoming project. Before and after pics.....this includes the garage staging area as well :)
