So I'm thinking the tie rods are needing replacement. Is there any reason to think a Febi or Lemförder is an inadequate substitute for OE? There's about a $100 and $70 difference per side, respectively.
I went with Lemforder for the tie-rods and Febi for the boot kit, because the other boot prices were outrageous.

What's the adage, get your kid interested in cars so they don't have money or time for drugs?
What size is the drain and fill plug on the diff and the trans ?

The hole the plugs go in or the female receptacle for the tool (in the plug)? (That almost sounds naughty)

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous E46 fanatic
Understood. I'm just not clear what you are asking.
Is this bad? I don't think it's good.

Those shock mounts look a bit toast.
Get some rogue mounts, dude. And some FSDs. ;)

It's fine. Don't worry about it. It's just the car's way of telling you it's time to live the stance lyfe. As Archer says, it's not a problem if it's*:

I really need to. I drive through a poor area of town on my way to work and the city doesn't care about poor people roads. Driving my Mazda with FSD's is downright pleasant in comparison.Quote:

nah....
I mean....
yeah....maybe....
Ugh. Fine. I'll do it.
For the sport/ZHP suspension, you'll want FSD kit 2100-4006.
Looks like the best price right now is at AutoAnything (link)
$622.22 - 3% ($18.67) cash back through Ebates (link) - $70 MIR through Koni (link) = $533.55 total
Really can't beat that for magic filled shocks with a lifetime warranty. Does AutoAnything ship to the Great White North?
kinda torn between those and the bilstein B4... they are $310 shipped for a set. hmmmmZ.
You'll need to register for Ebates (link) and use their link to direct you to the AutoAnything website. They give you a portion of their finders fee in the form of a check. I added the Chrome plugin just this week and it lets you just activate the cash back while you're already on the site.
They're doing some crazy 15% back for stuff like travel websites right now, so I'm all up on priceline booking hotels/flights for the rest of the year.
Go for FSD's!
So, I'm starting a new job in Berlin next week and since I'm in the car land, I want to get something fun to drive and to wrench on.
Really considering this machine.

Has 125k miles, 3rd owner, eisenmann exhaust, brand new summer tires on original CSL rims, M3 cluster, OEM struts/shocks on lowering springs (seems too low for my taste)... Been on sale for about 3 months now, last posted price was 15.000€ which is around $16.300 and he got no bites. Tried to talk him down over the phone and he says he would take 14k € (15.300 USD).
No doubt a lot of work went into this car (G-Power kit alone is over $3k), but it still seems a bit steep to me. 3 months up and it didn't sell.
What do you guys think?
Should I worry about replacing spring pads when I change things out? I'm just going to buy the ECS "cup kit install kit." It's a $40 difference to get new spring pads, and I'll probably put H&R springs in eventually.
