Removed the center plate holder and installed the tow hook plate holder.

forehead slapper tonight. My original key stopped unlocking/locking a few weeks ago, so I figured battery or something. I contact Scott who fixes these and the GM5 module and maybe a few other things. Turns out he lives about 40 miles away. I drive over there after work (in LA traffic). He was finishing up fixing something on some ladies E39 and comes over to my car.

"I dunno it just randomly stopped working."
*examines key* "hm, have you tried to sync it?"
"...Well...no...Thought that was just for new keys."
*he gets in the car and does the sync process. Key starts working again.*
*hands the key back to me with a smile* "no charge."

d'oh!

Anyway, If anyone ends up needing his services he seems like a stand up guy. We spent some time talking about our cars and the work he does. Very talented.

Syncing it? Keys... Unsync?!

Doh!
