Today radiator. Coolant reservoir. I was surprised to see how easy it is. I pretty much take the everything with a tool kit I got for 10 dollars. I was surprised to see that I was running almost straight water. It's barely blue. The reason I'm not doing it all is because I am going to laughin this weeken and I know I am going to be spending a lot. And last month I took two week vacations. I went to Texas. Went to a soccer match between Barcelona from Spain and America from Mexico( my team) while in Texas at the new cowboys stadium. I got to say that it's an amazin stadium. On my was back we stopped at the grand canyon(amazing. Just so incredible amazing). Then Vegas for one day. So I spent a lot. Now I got to wait a little to do the rest of my cooling system.
I plan on taking before and after videos and maybe posting a DIY.
Here is a teaser:

just got the car back...fuel/air/cabin filters replaced, modified cdv installed. shifts noticeably smoother now. rev matching is much easier to accomplish on simple city streets. love it.
Update: So, changing the oil level sensor didn't cure my warning light problem. It was still coming on after a short, first drive of the day. After searching some more I found this thread....

Installed a new Interstate 94R ($120, perfect fit) and so far so good. I've only had a chance to test it one time so far but the light didn't come on when I drove it yesterday. I'll make a thread in the "Mechanical" section after I get to check it a few more times to confirm it's truly fixed.
Never had any other indications that the battery might be getting tired, still showing the green dot. It was the original battery though, date code on top of the negative post is 17-04 (17th week of 2004).
I wish I would have found that thread before replacing the sensor. Anybody interested in a used oil level sensor? :biggrin

So we think the yellow oil light was due to a slightly weak battery?

Yes. You always read about how a weak battery on our cars can cause odd electrical issues and it sounds like this is one of them. In both cases it was only AFTER shut down. That could be just coincidence though. Kris had some other issues with his though too while for me it was just the oil level light. My old battery, after sitting for one day shows 12.66 volts, while the new one after a charge and sitting for 8 hours showed 13.13 volts. So it doesn't take much to cause issues.
Ok...sounds good.
