Listen, Vas. I am not going to argue this with you. 255 is the perfect size for my situation, that is the end of that. I am not buying 9" wide rims. I did not buy 245 tires. I bought 8.5" rims and 255 width tires, which have been a perfect combo for the 6 years I've had my car. Thank you for understanding.

I had that issue when I first got my BBS wheels. I shaved that piece of plastic because that was also where I was rubbing. Ever since it was shaved, it's been all good. :thumbsup

I'm in the same boat I want something different than the typical CSL replica wheel that I swore I'd never put on my car...except I have no funds having just paid for the expenses moving to Charleston and these twins, My God! they're expensive... they already eat more than I do!

Maybe, but you don't see them that often. I'd say Apex ARC-8s are "played out" but I don't mind at all :)

The problem is the wheel offset. I've had 255's on et40 without issues. The aggressive offset is the root cause of why the tires won't fit. The urge to fit M3 fenders is so strong... yet so uneconomical! :(

secondly - dude, you are being a pansy about the wheel and tire weight. you're as big as me. you should be able to lift 49lbs of wheel and tire, man! do some pushups or something. ;) even my 63lb 8-year old son can lift one of the ZHP's wheel/tire combos!

thirdly - i don't know if it's just me, but your back wheel looks cock-eyed in this picture above and the one you posted of your winter wheels. do you have a bent control arm? it just looks like it's sitting too far back in the wheel well...

remember that not all tires are the same width, even if they are listed as the same size. the 255/35/18 PSS have a 9.5" wide tread width - that's pretty fat for a 'normal' 255. and, they are very square-shouldered.

re: the diameter, the 255/35/18 PSS is 25". the 245/35/18 PSS (i run these now) is 24.8" in diameter. a difference, but not huge.

LOL, so true. :) i think you'd be good with 245's or a higher offset wheel - the offset isn't the only problem. when you stray from stock... compromises must be met. ;)

does it rub on both sides?

I rubbed on 255 RE11s w/ 18x8.5 +40. I rolled, sawoff the threaded bolt and still rubbed on the inner fender. I think I need to increase my rebound settings and stiffer springs.
