Headed into work at midnight, planning to do an interior detail tonight and wash on Friday morning after I get off at 8am. Hopefully the weather will cooperate Friday morning.
Also, been researching possibly getting a new stable-mate, my better half's 2007 CR-V is needing some work, at 116k it still has original shocks and brakes and the positive battery cable/harness has corroded through, I have it rigged for now, at 120k it will will be due for oil, brake fluid flush and power steering fluid flush. All of that is estimated at about $1k give or take in just parts, I can do the labor. The 2015 CRV Touring has been catching our eyes. Touring comes with a crazy amount of safety tech not to mention the 2015 refresh was completely re-engineered up front to vastly improve the small overlap test. We've located 4, 3 white diamonds and one steel grey, I'd like to go ahead and get if over with but the better half wants to wait a few more months. I'm not sure that the things that need done can wait much longer.

We would love to get a BMW SAV, but dollar for dollar its hard to beat the CRV, it may not be fast or as dynamic as a BMW SAV, but it should definitely be another 8, give or take, years of worry free driving. We love our 1-owner 2007 EX-L Nav; fluids, filters, tires, one battery and wiper blades are all its ever needed, it was the first year model for the 3rd generation and has never had any major problems, just a few nit-picky issues back when it was under warranty. After recently getting the only minor fender bender it has ever been in, not at fault, fixed at what was supposed to be the most reputable shop in town we have started to grow less fond of the vehicle. They did a decent job, but its not perfect and we've taken it back 3 times now. Its good enough to be passed on to another owner that probably won't care as much. This plus the impending maintenance cost has led us to look for something else. Here is our '07.
