What was the reason for the smog? Transfer of title?
Biennial smogs are tied to the cars registration date and the transfer of title smog does not count if it is after 90days since last smog.

Washing with warm water doesn't help the fact that the car still needs to get dried... Cold, wet microfibers FTL! This is why I don't wash my car in the winter. :(
I actually use a sprayer bottle from Home Depot. One of those 32 oz ones will swallow two BMW bottles whole. The sprayer is also adjustable!

Interesting that you took the manifold off. I didn't have to when I did my CCV...

John, I'm impressed that you went the extra mile and took out everything to change out the CCV! At least you got to take a look at everything that you normally never get to see. Well done on the CCV by the way.
On another note, I performed surgery on Patrick's ZHP headlight assembly and restored full factory lighting. It's sort of like an eye doctor doing a cornea implant on a patient. Patrick will now be able to see clearly at night while driving :thumbsup
Thanks all! You don't have to take the manifold off but William suggested it to help look for oil leaks and to see if there was any around from the bad CCV, and there was a LOT! Plus, in the end it did make it easier for the CCV but I had already started to put it back in before he got there. It sure made it easier to put the cold weather stuff on the CCV - not a bad idea to have it just in case I go to the mountains in Ness.
I'm going to hold out for this prior to all of that work.
