Valve Cover Gasket- just like in all the great videos. Only 75,000 miles, but it was hard and cracking- small leak onto header and I saw a touch on the coils. Best part was working with my 14 yr old son on most of the project, then having one of my two 9 yr old daughters help put it all back together. Good for kids to know they can fix things. There was thread before in which someone purchased a flexible shaft to reach off set areas way down below. I could not find that thread. Any help to locate would greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@jwalther - ouch, that hurts. I feel you pain. I guess the only bright side is it's not a spot that gets a lot of views.
Started my day off to a rough start and idle that smoothed it's way out on the way to work. Read codes at work. Lean codes on bank 1/2, cylinder #5 misfire, misfire on all cylinders.
I must have had a gigantic intake leak due to improper Stett boot install.
Just down done breaking her down to parade rest and re-installing everything. I cleared codes.
Startup test sat. Road test tomorrow AM.
The only thing I can think of is the connection to the TB I made was lame. Hose clamp kept trying to walk it's way down the Stett boot. I corrected that today by applying counter force (holding it in place) to the hose clamp with a LASD. Connection is now sound.
BP....this job is definetely easier the 2nd time, now having done it twice.

Yeah, the second time for us was a lot faster as well. After we had everything together the first time and realized we have to take it all apart again, I thought I was gonna shit a brick, though Charlie's ass was doing all the shitting. Right Charlie??? :biggrinQuote:
