Congrats Joop. I didn't realize you got an M3. Very exciting!
No one else except fanatics in this forum would care about the rarity and beauty of these.
I believe these are the last pair of BNIB OEM BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Splitters in the world (maybe).

Oil on the maf sensor is never a good thing
Just my $0.02, however I don't think oiled intake filters kill the MAF. I think OVERoiled intake filters can kill your MAF. That being said, get some MAF cleaner (not Brakleen or Carb cleaner, purpose built MAF cleaner) and try that. If/when you oil the intake filter, just do it lightly, only enough to cover it, no need to oversaturate.
Thank you sir! I had a whole "unicorn hunting" thread going, lots of details in there. Pics coming soon... She gets on the transport tomorrow.
Wow, very cool. I'd hate to know what they cost you, especially considering the fitment/quality of the replica ones out of Belgium are pretty damn good. They look beautiful though!
Tell me about it... :shift
Dropped the X off at the dealer today for some scheduled service. The rear brake pads kicked the light on recently, but I pushed my Service Advisor a little, and hopefully I'll get new pads and rotors all the way around. After the last service bill, he SHOULD do me that much... We'll see. Also getting the brake fluid completely flushed and bled, and new cabin air filters.
On a crappy note, they won't install the brake pads that I got from Ray, so I'll have to do the brakes AGAIN when I get it back, but then I'll have a brand new set of OEM pads to sell. No biggie I suppose. :thumbsup
First of all, congrats to John on the purchase of the e90 M3, just checked out the thread, what a ride. A double M household, congrats to you and your family!
Knocked one layer or dirt off the ZHP at a carwash today, I needed to kill a little time and needed to get some bird poo off of my clear coat. She still needs hand-washed but of course the weather is calling for more rain. I honestly don't think I've been able to hand wash the car this YEAR. I've been hitting up the car wash (not automatic of course) every now and then to remove anything on the clear coat and or salt from the bit of ice and snow we have had. I also went through my first aid kit in the car, dumped anything that looked old and suspicious, replaced with new. If you guys don't have one, there is a decent 90pc one on Amazon for $16. I bought one for the CR-V which prompted me to go through the older one in the ZHP. I added a few more things to both than what were in there before, a recent recertification in first aid, CPR and AED prompted purchasing one for the CRV.
I'm on the edge of ordering vapor barriers for the passenger side doors on the ZHP, also having an odd issue with the stereo. Sometimes when I hit a bump all the speakers in the drivers front door go out. Hit another bump and they all come back on. Anyone experience that before? If so, I'd love to hear where you found the problem, if not, if you have any suggestions where to start checking connections I'd love to have some advice. I also have fresh brake fluid to put in the car at some point this week or weekend while at work. I just need the better half to come sit in the car and work the pedal.
