Def have a lot going on. Honestly, I enjoy working on cars as a hobby. Makes a nice end to a long day after the kids are in bed.
With regards to the grill, I'm so glad I did pull the bumper after seeing the mess behind it I'll be cleaning that stuff up. Also, those clips SUCK and there's a metric ton of those little bastards! Still had a PITA time getting the 2 piece separated after the bumper was out.
Ah...
Its easiest when it is hot outside and everything is warm and supple. But i have done it in winter. I swear i already have a thread about this. Hold while i search. If not i will re write.
I can see how a warm summer day would be better for this. But there is a lot of clips, and having worked on the kidneys, I broke a couple. I didn't want to go down that route again. Kidneys were done when it was ~30 degree's out. Tonight it was in the upper 60's They did seem more flexible.
I swear i have posted this before but i could not find it. But it is somewhere on the site. You just push in with consitstant but firm pressure on the edges, then work inside. It will pop back towards the engine. Then you move to one side, bend, and pull out. I did it three times with the e46. I know i wrote it up multiple times......i just can not find it. Much easier in summer. But i did it in fall too.
Kidneys are a different story. Kidney will break. Lower grill did not
Found one of my write ups. Post 17

Got new A and C pillars, popped on the A pillars before it got too dark. It looks brand new! Now I just need to do those C pillars...
I was even more lazy, I just taped it off (installed) with painters tape and newspaper and plasti-dipped it on the car...
