Hmm yea, this was also my issue when I was racing in the AFM. The faster I wanted to go, the more expensive everything was getting. Tries didn't last nearly as long, regular track day brake pads didn't cut it anymore, pump gas got replaced with MR12... it was a downward spiral.. for my finances :)
I'm sure you'll make the right call in the end--after you get more information.
Is your next track day going to be on the new, West, loop? I hear it officially opened today.
