What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Spent the weekend doing a two step polish. I forgot how much of a pain that was. She doesn't look perfect but definitely looks a lot better.

First I clayed the whole car followed by a cutting polish and then a final polish. Topped off with a fresh coat of wax! I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

I planned on painting my calipers/hubs this weekend as well but I ran out of time. Looks like that's next weekends project!

What the heck... That material was NLA YEARS ago when I still had my E30... How on earth did you source that??

2 step polish job looks KILLER. i need to get my car done badly.

Thanks! I'm real happy with the outcome. I thought about paying to get it done, and about halfway through I was wishing I paid someone to do it. But It turned out pretty well! I'll have to get some higher quality photos here soon.

Still looks gorgeous! I really need to do mine. I tend to do it during the summer when I have a little more free time and rain isn't as much of a possibility. I know exactly what you mean about your back though. I sometimes use a rolling office chair to assist when I'm doing the sides.

As for me, my Bimmian painted bumper reflectors came in today so I swapped them out pretty quick using a wide plastic trim removal tool rather than the suggested screw driver that I'm very confident would scratch the paint. Color matches perfectly and I think looks much better than the amber reflectors. Not bad.

Where did you end up ordering this from? My volume knob has lost the functionality to turn off the radio due to the broken plastic thingy inside...

Oh and replaced pre-cat O2 sensors over the weekend.

Thursday - Hard-wired my radar detector
Friday - Ordered LED turn signal bulbs and key-fob cover
Saturday - Clear behind the handle scratch guards arrived
Today - Got my tag
Thursday - Windows will be tinted at 10am

Damn. Busy car schedule.
