I'm with you on the whole backup camera thing - it feels weird, but it sure is incredibly useful for when you have to do those "super close" actions like parking in the city or rigging up that hitch.

Dealer pricing is usually really high even with employee discounts. I'm probably going to be looking for a used mirror motor as they tend to be a lot more reasonably priced. Maybe I'll attempt fixing mine, but with my luck that won't work. lol

The mirror motor was around $500 from the dealer last time I checked

Ugh... it was $300 last time I checked. I simply don't understand how they can get away with this kind of crap.

It turns out the Aupoko aspherical glass that arrived today was a total disappointment. The connectors for the heating element are supposed to be on the same side as the aspherical part of the glass, but instead they are opposite of each other. That means the only way to install them is to take your mirror motor out and move the connectors for the heating to the other side of the housing. That poses the problem of the connectors bending when re-assembling because there is no cutout in the housing for the connectors on that side.

That's all assuming that you can even get them clipped on without breaking them. I tried to attach them to a junk motor I had laying around to see if it's just me, but I couldn't even get them clipped onto that. It attached so tightly on only one side, I almost broke the clips trying to get it off.

Needless to say, I submitted for an Amazon return and will get the Dubstop ones, which we know work fine as at least a couple of members here have them.
