Psshhh, you don't need a three jaw puller! I used a big C clamp to take it off. You will like the z4m bushings. They are nice
My steering wheel has been vibrating on the freeway and I noticed a steering judder while low speed braking the last time I took tge car out for a spin. I decided to buy Z4M thrust rods because of the increased caster would be beneficial to the BMW.
I tackled the thrust rod bushings install this afternoon. Ehat is interesting is that the thrust rod bushings on my car weren't OE but they weren't Meyle either. I dont know what brand they were but they were full rubber and lasted me 3 years of hard track driving.
On an install note, I must say those z4m bushings are a BITCH to line up. The bushings added so much caster the bushings wouldn't let me line up the two bracket holes. It took a little more fiddling with a crowbar to line them up but it went smoothly.
I went on a small test drive and immediate felt the heavier steering wheel and the judder is no longer present in low speed braking. I hope this solves my vibration problem at freeway speeds too.
Cheers. :)

Yeah install of these is a PITA. So worth it though - I love mine!!
Good news
On a sour note:
I have a seeping leak coming from back side of the engine. I think the rear main seal is leaking even though it was replaced with my clutch 2 years ago.
