Hieu, the best part though is that I will have my roof panel....at least once I get my roof panel, I won't have to worry about whether or not it will be available when I'm ready to do this :)

Been spending most of the day getting my ///M ready for my upcoming road trip next week. Been waiting for the right day to finish my black interior refresh on my ///M and today was the day :)
The longest part of refreshing the rear deck shelf is the preparation and waiting between coats of fabric paint...the end results were worth it though :thumbsup

I improvised a bit to accomplish what I was doing. It worked out perfectly ;)

My interior is now completely black, which is what I wanted. Unfortunately sometimes you get what's available but that doesn't necessarily mean you get exactly what you want....fortunately I'm in a position where I can simply replace the parts I don't want in favor of more desirable parts ;) Not finished "building" my ///M just yet...:)

Very Nice! :applause
Thanks Gary! Yeah....a friend came over with his Interlagos Blue ///M so I did the outer ring tail light mod for him and gave him my spare oval rear view mirror for all the help he provided when I did my rear deck shelf mod... It was a lot of work and he stayed the whole time...by the time we got done it was 9pm so I figured he "earned" the extra mod :) I believe in good Karma and it felt good rewarding a good friend for something he never expected :thumbsup
what time did you guys start? 9pm doesn't sound that late lol i hate doing DIYs at my house cause we'd start in the morning and finish tomorrow lol
Hieu, we started sometime after lunch yesterday and just worked through... I was taking my time and wanted to make sure I got my rear parcel shelf done right. I also deleted the child restraint points when I put everything back. :)
I took some pictures today before getting side tracked with an impromptu bbq at "Charrie's Garage" today when some good friends stopped by :)

Since my OEM CSL door panels deleted my rear tweeters, I had to relocate them if I wanted to keep them in my stereo.... this was the obvious location to put them and the sound is still amazing :) I now have an ///M that has an all black OEM interior.... getting closer towards the goal of building my perfect ///M :)
why didn't you just delete the tweeters? you really only need the front stage since the sound is going to travel backwards anyways.
i see, so it was a short diy. iono why but my rear deck doesn't look like anyones i've seen so far. i don't have that rectangular plastic piece at all.
Looks great and finally complete! New sticker as well I see.
Thanks Sean! Yeah, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to get a set of "Respect Your Elders" stickers Brett sent me (afterall... I am now in the AARP age range :facepalm). I just changed the layout of the sticker such that it would barely be seen when driving but when you walked up to the car you could clearly see it in the rear window :thumbsup
Looking good Charlie. What paint did you use on the black fabric?
