Maybe all the employees are sick today. :biggrin On a serious note, you can get a number for my local DMV before heading over there. But I never tried it, I just go and grab my number at the office.

I had the same thing happen when I picked up my ZHP. I took a commuter flight and met the transport driver in Cedar City, UT. He had my car and a Raptor he was delivering to Shelby Performance in Vegas.
Anyway, I took delivery of the car and drove straight over to the UDOT office. I figured there was no good reason to try to drive back and get busted without a temp plate on for the three-hour drive back home, and it's bound to be less busy in than in the city, so why not?
Cedar City is a county seat, and there's a small airport and a college there, but it's a pretty small town. Sure enough. It was like 10am on a Thursday, and the office looked just like the one 3ZHPGUY guy posted. I think there were three nice girls working in there, but not another single customer besides me. I was in and out in all of 10 minutes. Bada bing!

That's...I've never seen a DMV that empty in all my life. It's always a minimum 45 minute wait.
I had my check already made out and it literally took longer to walk to the counter, then it did to get the new sticker printed and handed to me. They do have a drive threw that may have been even quicker.

The sticker says 17 only ? Does this mean it expires on 12/31/2017 ?
CT is probably even worse now. They did some computer upgrades a while back and made things a LOT worse. A DMV trip is an all day affair in Bridgeport...
The rest of you should consider yourselves lucky!
Uh no luck here in VA. DMV in NoVA is absolutely horrible. Any time or day of the week. 1.1+ million drivers in Fairfax county alone. It's a nightmare.
