1. That old lady sounds awesome. I hope she's using that power's potential.
2. Is that an S5 or an RS5? I assume it's the former.
3. I think that would be a great acquisition for the reasons you mentioned. I have two family friends that have them and have very few bad things to say about them. I test drove one as a part of my local BMW dealership's test drive event to compare similar cars to the 435i X-Drive. I thought the S5 held it's own well against the competition, even though I preferred the 435i.

wow, that's a tough call - the F80 M3 is pretty. prettier than an RS5, in my opinion - and the RS5 is a good looking machine! i can't imagine an audi feeling more raw than an M3.... however, i have heard the RS5 is a different beast (the S5 was a dud, apparently).

my dad has a 2007 RS4 cab (in glut orange - 1 of 1!), and it is the rawest audi i've ever driven (i've owned a lot of them). the steering, brakes, engine, NOISE - it's all there. the seats are not great, for me - otherwise i would actually consider getting one. they are awesome otherwise. how is the RS5 in comparison? i'm sure you've spent time behind the wheel of a B7 RS4.

Right you are. I've wanted to drive and/or ride in the B7 RS4 for so long. I still lust after that car.

yeah. in 6 years, i could import a LHD B7 RS4 Avant from europe, with the optional recaros (the ones that actually say 'recaro' on them - i think they're leather/alcantara mix) - now we're talking... :)

in 1 year i can start looking at importing a LHD euro E46 330i M Sport Touring... 6-speed of course. :) ideally we could go on a family vacation, and buy one while we're over there. :)

How do they ride, Trevor?

I don't know yet. It's pouring out. LOL and I failed at taking my mushy RTABs out. Even broke the RTAB tool. [emoji24] So I'll have to fix that and align before I even test everything out.

The ride quality is firm but not as harsh as OEM. The shocks are taking up sharp bumps and smoothing them out.

Yeah it clearly did its job. That is technically a CCV and those chambers serve the oil-air-seperation function, although, I dont know the difference between a PCV and CCV :) I thought they were the same thing.

I've been using a oil catch can since the TS2 removed the stock CCV and oil seperator and just uses a "PCV" instead, which is actually the CCV off a 318i. Using the M56 valve cover with built in CCV and oil-air-seperator I can ditch the oil catch can and still prevent the goop from getting sucked in through the blower and intake.
