Good price.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous
Installed freshly cleaned and refurbished injectors :)
Started the auto to manual swap yesterday on my zhp. So far, took off the exhaust, (only one of the 4 exhaust bolts broke off the stud! Others came off hard after a few minutes of heating them up) also took off the driveshaft, heat shield, splash guard, drained the tranny fluid. Disconnected the shifter linkage. Hopefully today, I'll start pulling out the darn thing! So far so good. I hope the whole project will go as smooth as yesterday. Took me about half a year of researching/hunting for good deals on parts. The 5 speed is a ZF from a Z3.

Nice! Any reason for choosing the 5-speed over a 6-speed equivalent? Definitely document the process with photos!
Finally replaced my front driver's side window regulator! I followed the e46fanatics tutorial and had not a piece of trouble with it. Scariest part was fiddling with the door airbag, knowing that I was effectively handling a bomb. I had the battery disconnected, of course, but it's still scary to know there's a ton of potential energy just sitting in a box dangling in front of your face while you're mucking around inside the door.
Glad it's over and done with though - the sun's starting to show up in these parts, and I was getting tired of having to open my door every time I wanted to order fast-food.
By mistake, I started to drive without releasing the parking brake. Three beeps reminded me about it ! This is the second time it happens to me since 2006. I already forgot about such feature. :thumbup
You are doing a 5 speed swap as well? Noice! Make sure you do the shift pin service on the gearbox for smoother shifting. That will also eliminate the infamous leaning shifter problem.
Mostly pricing. Decent 6-speeds go for around ~$1200. The driveshaft for the 6 speed costs more as well. I picked up a good 5 speed for $455! Plus, with the 6 speed, you need the dual mass flywheel setup, in which that dual mass flywheel alone costs $600. I got a Valeo conversion clutch kit, including the flywheel, for that kind of money. And then theres reliabilty. I've been doing some reading and it seems that people are saying the 5 speed is more reliable.
I bought a diff from a regular 2001 330ci. Don't know the final drive ratio but I had it welded. Focusing more on drifting/hooning in this thing.
