I do have it, but the wires go beneath all that for a cleaner installation appearance. To remove the boot there is no getting around disconnecting the cables, which requires all of that disassembly to get to.
Thanks guise.
Mine is wired the same. I do like the lit knob. Lke the ask? Mine is very knotchy--think gated. Yours ?

BP, is that shop in new milford? my cousin's friends started that shop like 10 years ago. cool guys, neat place.
glad to hear your car is driving smoothly again. i have CSB, flex disc, diff mounts, subframe mounts, trans mounts, etc to do - it's about -4ºC out today, not really looking forward to any of that right now, but i am looking forward to my car driving smoothly again. :)

Yeah it's pretty notchy. I read that it wasn't as notchy which is why I got it, but it's a little more than I would have liked. I'll get used to it.
Yes, Autotechnic is in New Milford. Who is it that you know works there? The guys I deal with on the front end are Rob and Jeff. Definitely like this place!
my cousin grew up in new milford, it's his friends - rob and jeff (the owners). i think they went to high school together or something. i met them once a long time ago when i was visiting, probably circa 2000-2003 ish. i think we stopped by on our way to lime rock.Quote:

No, I didn't use that kit. I don't know what else they used; I left it to the shop to refresh the bushings.
Considering the direction this thread has taken recently, it might be appropriate to say "I'll show you mine if you show me yours". :rofl
Weekend project lined up: clean the damn seatbelt roller thingy.
It takes me forever to "guide" my seatbelt back into place after taking it off and I've reached breaking point with the damned thing. It's getting cleaned this weekend!
My buddy tells me that's all that needs to be done to it. I thought this whole time it needed replacing. We shall find out...
LOL. Wow. Just wow. Touché!!!
I was actually thinking about how much I truly love my ZHP this morning on my drive into work. so, I love eating pizza everyday.
contemplated buying a prius for commuting...then I realized...I like pizza more than I like that car, so I ate some pizza and wiped my hands casually on a NAPKIN and then got behind the wheel because I no longer have to go to the bathroom and clean my hands like a surgeon before touching the alcantara wheel...
Such a tasty discussion y'all are having
Just out of college, my and my friends ate pizza for lunch every day for a week just because. We went to a different place each time. It was SO good! :biggrin I could easily eat pizza everyday.
Hmmmm, pizza
I think we need a pizza thread
Yesterday I picked up a HVAC relocation kit from a local dealer in preparation for the Eonon GA5150 unit I have arriving on Friday. :)
If all goes well, I'll have the Eonon in hand on Friday, ready to roll for an install on Saturday with a space (and perhaps some help) from our resident Charrie! :)
Since there aren't a whole lot of these units out there yet, there isn't any info on how the unit works (common issues, functionality, etc.) on the E46, so I'll try to document as much as I can. I read through Gary's GM5150 thread yesterday and have determined that I should have everything I need to complete the install. I don't have OE nav, so it should be a lot easier to get this done. The one part I decided to skip was the cable that Gary recommended for better radio reception (in the GM5150 thread) because I want to see if this issue is fixed with this revision/model, so if I can avoid having to buy another cable then that'll be a win. If it's still a problem, I'll order it and install it after the fact.
And this time I swear, this IS my last mod until I pay off the car! I mean it this time! :shifty
(I sure hope sales on strut bars don't pop up after the holiday...)
Nice! Looking forward to a GA5150 video!! The install should be very similar to the GM5150, you may need to trim down the radio antenna adapter for clearance is the only thing I can see that might be an issue.
