I'm down for beginning of the year meet. Maybe 2nd week of January?
Gives people time to coordinate and make it out.

I could be available end of January/early February. I am moving back to SoCal from NJ during that time... and I can drive on my NJ license for a bit
Can't legally register the S54 swap yet.. got to work on some stuff
Yup, I'd be in.

Cheers guys! I’m brand new and haven’t even made a new member post.
But, would be up for a drive out to LA. Want to make the highway 74 drive from palm desert up thru to LA.
I would be driving out from AZ.
From the looks of it, I may have already missed the meet. But I have some time here coming up in march, around the 16-20th of march.
Always up for a cruise.

lol the person that wanted to have the meet doesn't even have an e46 anymore :rofl That's how bad we are at this on this coast lol
bump. I am currently planning a trip to LA tentatively on April 15-18. You guys have any meets or anything planned?
April is all up in the air for me. I might have work in Canada for like 2 months. But I haven't signed the contract yet lol
Someone should plan something lol
I’ll explore late March tonight. I found a hotel that would offer free massages every night if I booked a suite that weekend in April and I was pretty determined to be there 1-2 times a day lol. My back is still sad from the accident every now and then.
Sorry I missed that Mystic. I will be there April 9-12. It seems that Sunday is still fairly open for car meets if anyone wants to do anything.
Count me in!
Anyone else for April 10th? Venue even?
Maybe me. In my Tesla lol Or in the M240i. Venue? beats me.
Where are people generally. Seems like OC?

Seems like OC and south / west LA.
I won't be able to attend Sunday or Monday d/t work. If that changes I'll meet up.
I will marinate on a location and ask locals

I slipped on the locations.
Kind of an SOS but my alternator died. No tools no parts. If anyone has a spare alternator with a circular connector as known working or in the corner. Please please PM me
Edit: I am a bit motionless so I can’t get to any meets
dang that sucks. I can lend some tools, but I don't have a spare alternator.
With a depressing look, the marina del ray oreillys has a few versions in stock.
Sometimes the path of least resistance is the easiest. I think you’re far too. I’d feel bad for you to come out here and lend me tools for 10 mins (seems belt, back connectors, and two alternator bolts. I’m sad there’s no alternators on Craigslist or Facebook
What area are you in?
Marina Del Ray
Darn, I'm in OC. No alternator, only tools.
Just bought tools and a China alt. I just can’t enjoy myself knowing car is the big sad. So I’m money-big my way out.

Thankfully I’m up and running. My girl hooked me up and I’m at the bungalow in Santa Barbara. Thank fuck things turned around. Car drives like a king. These guys drink like mad

Nice to hear.
And on that note, another socal meetup bites the dust lol
Glad that worked out. Sorry you had to deal with all that hassle.

Well, we had a mini meetup when Tim came into town haha.
I don't have a ZHP anymore but still down for a meet.
Maybe we'll be able to make one this year lol
What replaced the ZHP :)

Wow.

Me too…me too. As awful as it was, I just sucked it up against my odds and fixed it in under 12 hours. I did about 6 push starts. The DME dies at around 6.8v for those curious, and the cluster will freeze at about 9.3v :)
battery may have been a little sacrificial. I was less than a mile from my place too.
Upon investigation, it seems the weekend where we swapped everything from my old car, one of us didn’t nut down the terminal to the back of the alternator. It’s heavily corroded, likely from the heat generated from moving so much power through a thin connected (not clamped down) and eventually had too thin of a contact patch. This is likely why it failed and also why I suspect it’s still good. I digress, definitely a stressful bit
