On another note... I helped install a set of Recaro Sportster CS in my best friend's ///M today.... it was a learning experience on how to mount adjusting rails, seat mounts, and occupancy sensors....in the end I thought it turned out very well! Now I know what to expect when I get my set in summer ;)

I got to take his ///M out for a spin afterwards and loved how well these seats conformed to your body...very comfortable, so I know these are the seats for my ///M but they will be in black :)

Damn they are some sweet looking seats!
The ZHP sport seats are nice but they really don't hold me in that well

Minor stuff to the e39iT today -- LED AEs, new p/s cap seal, new fuel cap retaining strap. Planned to do VCGs & spark plugs today but a mechanically disabled friend had a car that wouldn't start. I phone diagnosed it to a bad battery, had to go over & prove it to him, showed only 5.45V across the terminals, and he still didn't believe me. Took arm twisting to get him to commit on a new battery, he finally went to go buy one, I installed, and a miracle, it started. Showed him the new battery had 12.4V across the terminals, think he finally got it.

Very nice! How did the occupancy sensor go? I'm curious at your solution on this particular issue.

Derbo - for mine, I removed the occupancy sensor from the OEM seat, zip tied it up under the passenger seat and plugged it in. No errors/codes/lights

simple fix - took about an hour to remove from the oem seat and put the seat back together and not having it look like I took the seat apart
