The best way would be to remove the grille. ecrabb's guide is quite good: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showt...h-doityourself
If you're lazy like me, first wash the grille and let it dry. Next, just remove the license plate bracket, tape off the bumper surrounding the grille using painter's tape, and stuff newspaper behind the grille to prevent overspray by sliding it down through the engine bay in front of the radiator. Then just spray an even coat of paint, making sure to go at angles so that all surfaces are covered by the paint i.e. left-right, up-down and/or diagonal. Let it dry and repeat the process at least once more.
Im all about lazy if it works. I plan to do the tape off method as well. Thanks
Driver side headlight went out two days ago. Today replaced the xenon bulb and is working fine. The passenger side was replaced three months ago. Interestingly, I took the stock air box out for more room and found the bottom of the air box had been cut out with a taped hose hanging down into the compartment behind the bumper. Am curious why a previous owner made that modification. I ordered a used air box on Ebay to return air box to stock configuration.
That's done to theoretically provide additional airflow to the airbox. The same setup is used on the Dinan CAI. I am skeptical as to the actual gains provided by the extra tube. I suspect that air is 1) hot and 2) dirty
On topic: got the ZHP flashed with a Eurocharge tune today. Initial reaction is pretty positive. Seems to pull harder and doesn't engine brake slower (which was my main complaint with the Shark). Thanks to Seth for the family pricing hookup!
20mm rear sway bar from an xi.
H&R rear sport springs.
One more corner of the 135i brakes.
The 4th corner is being a little shit. I'm thinking about cutting above the nut on the hardline, replacing the nut, and re-flaring. It easily has 2" to spare without putting stress on the line.
I need to order E36 upper spring perches in order to use the H&R springs with my TC Kline camber plates. Thus, Chinese death trap spring compressors get to wait another week or two.
Here ya go - is this what you need?
