The past two days I have had to repair my car in the pouring rain.
Yesterday was a flat tire...right rear, the only one that ever has a problem :( Put the spare on and it too was flat! Some guys working nearby had a portable compressor so I filled her up and made it back to school. I was in Point Marion, PA for the final LArch project.
Today I had to refill my coolant system, I've been using only Distilled water, when I get home I will buy two gallons of BMW Coolant from BMW of Bel Air. But more importantly I may have a lead on my coolant leak. Looking around the engine bay I notice that two of my bolts on the Water Pump Pulley were loose...UGH! So I get out the tools and pull the fan and tighten the bolts. Mind you it's pouring rain!! Over break I will go over the front end again check every bolt that I removed and tightened. I'm expecting it to be the Stewart pump has heat cycled and some of the bolts backed out. Hopefully just need a seal. I have coolant spray on the expansion tank and my intake tube before the MAF. I need a break!!!
