haha. i installed a non-washer reservoir also, and i also installed non-washer trim pieces under the headlights when i put my ZKWs into the Touring. soooo much cleaner - and of course, naturally, i regretted it after driving in nasty, slushy weather over the last month.... :)

just glad to have M3 seats with good leather and they hug very nicely with the side bolster controls. the leather is thicker than OEM leather so the heated seats take longer to get warm or feel it through the materials.

VERY nicely done, shawn! thanks for posting details and pics. they look great, and when you get them dyed - even better. i may consider getting a set of those in the future... i want leather bolsters with cloth centers, i think. :)

bummer about the foam. perhaps you can find a clean passenger M3 seat for cheap somewhere? the foam should be the same side to side.

and yes, the adjustable bolsters are mega!

That color actually looks spot on to me.
Compare to the pic below which appears to be a brand new E46. There's a little overexposure going on in the photo, but the color looks similar.

the brand new NB seats still look like they have a tad more Orange in them than my leather. i may be splitting hairs nit picking at the color accuracy but I know it will bug the hell out of me if it isnt spot on lol.

the leather fees comfy. it has some texture to it compared to nappa leather. but overall it feels great. very firm but not cardboard stuff like old seats. i cant wait to see how they get after some heat cycles in the hot sun.

There is a solution to this problem, a better solution than "color matching". Dye doesn't last long, so what if you just bought some of this material by the yard and re-wrapped your door cards to match the seats?

Did you remove the tilting latch on the side of the seats?

Had to replace a tail light today. Currently at 15k miles. Units are made by Toshiba, waiting on my LEDs and Euro housings to get here, then we should be in business.

Hmm now you mention it, since it has been pretty cold these past few weeks, my reservoir has also been completely draining itself. When i checked under the hood, I saw congealed blue goop right where the headlight washer pump connects to its tubing. I just ordered a new headlight washer pump and filter so hopefully that fixes the problem
