My wife freaks out when her F30 gets to 1/2 tank remaining, but the boys will drive the E28 down to 1 liter remaining! Keep teaching them about fuel cooling the pump but stuff collecting at the bottom is a myth. If you take a tank apart you’ll see that the fuel pump must suck fuel from the lowest part of the tank so whatever stuff that settles to the bottom has already been sucked up at the next engine start. When driving the fuel tank contents are being sloshed and mix around so it’s a constant mix of yummies that the fuel pump must suck up. LOL there’s also a fine mesh filter at the pump inlet then you fuel filter to cover for more fine particulate.
