I got a clear-coat pen to try and help fill in a few scratches from the mirror incident. I'm not sure how to use it very well but I think I'll wait for any threat of rain to go away before I attempt to fill them in.
From what I understand, all I do is apply it, let it dry overnight, use some rubbing compound to get the excess off, and I'll be set.
I ve been reading about this Dr. Colorchip. Do they sell a product that would "fill in" those pesky chips on the front of the hood from small particles/peebles etc that blast the front of my whip when I am supersonic? If I could at least fill them in a bit and mask the undercoating color with the orient blue color, I would be much happier.
Dr colorchip FTW! :headbang

just got the car back after the service and ssk install. first impressions are wow! night and day feel to the shifting. much more force required to move the gear lever, almost no side to side slop while the car is in gear, and much less distance to travel between throws. rev-matching on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts is much smoother. i plan on doing a more thorough review after driving the car for a while.
labor ended up coming to $392 for the ssk though. so FYI to those considering. although the DIY is 6-8 hours of hell (so i've read) so may or may not be worth it depending on your appetite for challenge.
