My H&R springs are short enough that I can get them on the struts without a compressor... I have one person pushing down on the top hat while I screw the nut on... My old springs, I took to a buddies shop to get the springs off.... I'm not messing with those compressors from autozone
I was doing this solo, which was probably the issue. I really like Nate’s technique of breaking the top hat free from the strut, and slowly releasing the strut from underneath with a floor jack. That of course doesn’t help with reassembly.Quote:
