I used header/exhaust wrap for the section behind the muffled x-pipe to the bend (~18” section underneath both cross-braces). Because the pipes will get very hot, I’m not worried about moisture staying in the wrap material.
I kept the rubber hanger supports in place—they’re screwed into the bottom of the bracket, and the exhaust is just sitting on top of them (the top stud isn’t long enough to thread). Zero rattles this morning.
Yesterday I changed the oil in the wife's X5. I also noticed the ZHP is leaking oil at the transmission :/ Got an appointment with the mechanic on Wed to have that looked at.
Can anyone recommend a forum for X5s? I need to get more versed in the E70s as I need to figure out how to do a spark plug change.
