So this morning started out with tornado warnings across the lower 3 counties in South Florida... Insane rains and winds through the night left the roads a mess... And in the garage sat my freshly washed car... Beautiful, clean, happy...
But, today was the monthly CCA Everglades Chapter "Bimmers, Coffee, and Donuts" meet, about 70 miles from my house... UGH... Like I said to a friend though, screw it, its only a car, I can wash it again... So in the car I went...
My car got filthy, but just as I was getting there, the rain had stopped and the sun was poking out. It turned out to be a perfect morning, even though all of the cars were filthy. Turned out to be a great turn out... I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was obsessing over a few cars. But, a great time by all...
Perhaps my favorite part, I finally got to drive an E46 M3... I got chatting with a guy that had an '06 Interlagos Blue/Black ZCP coupe, 6 spd... It was the perfect car. However, he wasn't selling. There was another guy there selling an '05 Coupe, Mystic Blue/Dove Grey, 6 spd coupe, 60k miles for $23k. What a BEAUTIFUL car, incredibly clean, but I would want a competition car... Two other IB ZCP coupes showed up, as well as a Jet Black/Imola hardtop equipped vert... And lastly, perhaps the unicorn of all cars, a fully loaded (not a ZCP car though) Oxford Green/Cinnamon 6 spd coupe... The kid had just bought it a couple months prior, paid $17K for it with about 95k miles on it... I offered him $20k on the spot, he declined...
Anyway, I did get to drive the IB ZCP coupe in the photos though, wow, what a car. Very different than the ZHP, and very different than the E90 M3. I want one, if for nothing else than to have one... So now I start shopping... :D
Some other notable mentions... A few F80/F82 M3/M4s, an E70 X5 M Sport, insanely clean E34 5 series, Z4M coupe, E36 M3, a couple of E92 M3s (I was the only E90 M3), an SCCA club racing track support touring car, equipped with light bar and all, and more... There were also the WTF cars... E92 M3 with cambered to hell/stretched to hell wheels/tires, Yas Marina Blue F80 M3 with matching blue wheels, and an E36 M3 that was so low he scraped and popped his oil pan pulling in... Proceeded to sit in the parking lot and dump oil all morning, until a flat bed could come get it... :facepalm
Overall a great morning... As you can see by my pics, I obsessed over the E46 M3...
This is the one I drove... The one in the back is for sale, unbelievably clean!

This is the only state in which she behaves. Anything else she just wants to have fun. LOL
Car was insanely low, so low that he high centered pulling into the lot where we had the meet. While trying to get the car unstuck, apparently he tore the oil pan... Dumped all the oil, had to remove front bumper to get the car on a flat bed, which still required a few wood planks for clearance... Ugh.

LOL. Never seen a green M. That looks amazing. I'm actually glad I've never ridden in or driven an M. Sounds addictive...

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - an e46fanatic

She was cold and didn't want to go outside this morning...took some prodding
LOL. Yours looks warm.

Her first snow fall, of her entire life. She hails from Alabama where she was ordered with 0 miles, then being sold to someone in Pensacola, Florida where she spent her life since the end of 06' to February of 2015 [emoji41]
& now she's in Long Island, NY since May 2015 [emoji1417].. Did magnificently in the snow, no snow tires at all & I took some side streets for a little drifting fun & she handled very well surprisingly

Thank you, I wish I had the money to invest in a diff like you did! how do you like it?
I hope you like this shot after the edits too :cheers

I bought a really cheap car so had a little margin to play with... I really like it. Though I haven't really put it thru its paces yet. But now that it's broken in and the fluid has been swapped...
I like the 3.38 gearing. First is a bit short and 6th runs the rpms up a bit but those middle gears are awesome! And the pulling in 6th is very impressive--I don't usually need to downshift to pass.
(And another good shot)

Thank you Sparrow!
Thank you! I'm hoping to make some income on the side this upcoming car season [emoji1417]
How did you figure out what gearing Ratio you preferred? Im kindve a noob to that realm as I'm still not too deep into investments in my car as of yet
& thanks Joop!

It just depends on your importance to fun factor vs fuel economy.
The car I have is 3.62 and it can be ridiculous for highway calmness as the RPMs spin higher although it's good if you have exhaust that has a bit or drone since highway cruising is just a tad above the drone zone.
You guys should try 3.64 on a 5 speed. That's how us auto zhp guys roll :(
My miata has a 4.10, but at least it's factory LSD :)
blech.
