I registered this afternoon for the SCCA Track Night in America event on the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval in July. And 30 minutes ago I got an email from the CCA saying I’d cleared the waitlist for my second HPDE at VIR. Ouch. Fun as hell, but ouch.

You gotta do these things while you can. Next thing you know life will get in the way...
We never went to NJMSP even though it was a half hour from our house because it was "too expensive"....then we had kids. We'll never have that opportunity again. I think Road Atlanta is the closest track now and that's 5 hours away...

I absolutely get what you mean! You reminded me of a quote I heard on a tv show years ago which I’ll never forget: “life is a hell of a thing to happen to a person.”

You might have closer options, though. Roebling Road is in Savannah, and CMP is just north of Columbia. Both of those also seem to have a lot fewer crashes than RA [emoji1303]

Both of them would be closer. I go down to Savannah on support calls and my family lives north of Columbia. Thanks! Already got visions of taking the boys there. I wonder why our local BMWCCA chapter doesn't use those...

There are 3 more open track days this season at a track which is half hour away from my home. I want to go for at least one.
