Funny thing about these LED fog lights...

It says that these fog lights are not compatible with E46 BMWs however I never plugged in details for my M3 (pictured above) when I purchased these lights. They do work and I have not had any issues running with them. The reason they say these lights are not compatible is because you will have to modify the outer mounting bracket in order to get these lights to mount. Gary, send me a text if you have any questions.

These LED fog lights use 20 watts whereas the factory 9006 bulbs use 30 watts so using these LED fog lights won't harm the electrical wiring of the E46.

When looking at how I mounted them, you will see my solution although I'm sure Gary will find a better, more permanent solution to mounting these... :thumbsup

I finally snagged a pair of BC Coilovers. I got a slightly used set with 8,000 miles on them for $750 and it came with an extra new rear shock! I'm still on the original suspension at 107K so this should be a nice upgrade and I will slightly lower the car to level out the rear.

What's funny is I wasn't really looking to buy Coilovers but this was such a good deal even with the high shipping cost I just couldn't pass it up. I can get the Swift springs for $320 and have $1050 invested. Not bad.

Got my LED Fog Lights yesterday! I will work on these this weekend. I need to fabricate a mounting bracket and adjusters.

I started the LED Fog light install tonight. It took some time to modify the bracket and fabricate a way to clip it to the side. So far I think this will work. I still have to adjust the one I put in and install the drivers side fog light. These are so dam bright!! Check it out.

I'm glad you posted pics with only one installed. we can really see how bright they are from that pic... looks like you still need a little aiming like Charlie did...

The LED light is aiming way to high because the adjuster isn't installed yet, I was just test fitting it. It was lighting up my neighbors house!!

in the pic oem looks brighter , but I'm assuming because they r calling batman

Looks brighter because it's aiming down at the ground and the LED one is calling Batman. :cool

Finished up installing the LED Fog lights. It took some time to figure out how to make a decent bracket for the side that fits into the two notches in the bumper. The lights are very bright most of which is at a different level than the OEM fog lights. These are more like driving lights as they light up everything!

Here's the bracket I made. I used the sheet metal I had left over from making custom cut-off shields for my headlights.

Nice and bright....but that light pattern, sure looks like it will cause some glare into other driver's eyes.

I have been running these LED fog lights on my M3 for over a month now and haven't had anyone flash their high beams at me with these lights on... doesn't seem to be a problem over here....

Doesn't mean it's the same everywhere.

As nice and bright as they are, glare is a concern as well as that light pattern.

They look cool though.

Nice jog on the brackets. You should team with the vendor and sell those! Love the brightness.

Thanks...I think my brackets might be a tad ghetto for them thou. They hold the light nice and tight which is all that matters to me.

The light pattern high to the left and right will be an issue, if it was down lower and even with the center beam it wouldn't be an issue. These lights are awesome on a dark back road with NO traffic! I went up behind my house in a area where there is no street lights and you can drive with just the fog lights on! They light up street signs 500 feet away!

EDIT: I found a solution to the glare issue!!! After seeing this you guys are gonna want a set of these bad boys!!!

The light pattern was really bothering me. Two beems forward and two high to the left and right. The two high ones were definitely going to cause a issue with oncoming cars. Then like a flash from the super bright LED Fogs it hit me! Swap the left to right and the right to the left, this will flip the light pattern upside down!! Swapped them and went for a drive. Holly bright no glare fog lights Batman!!! I can't believe how much better they look now! Nice bright light beems straight forward and two down to the left and right sides. Perfect! I wish I had a better camera to capture the actual lighting.

I'm really happy with how these look now! Nice clean white light. They look better than the stock fogs even when they are off. I just have to come up with a way to fill the gap.
