That's what I did and it worked

go to know, there's hope!
I always thought the cap gets oily from the hole at the top of the cap letting oil out as the pressure gets too great... ?
Guess I know what to add to my list. Probably needs a top off, I've never checked. lol
I was trolling e46 DIY on YouTube and found this video on the Power Steering Reservoir fix. Mine was no where near as bad as the one in the video, but there was an obvious haze around my cap, so this cheap fix is worth a try. Rain forecasted most of the week here in the Northeast, so the vert will sit in the garage. I'll update in a few weeks after I've had a chance to put some miles on it

I bought 10 viton o-rings, after looking through a 5 series forum a while back. No power steering cap leaks have occurred since.
edit: PM me if interested
Switched back to the Arc-8s for an autocross this weekend and a trip to CMP next week. This will be my first time using the Hawk DTC-70s and slotted Stoptechs. Weather should hold up for Atlanta (if we can get there), but I’m hoping CMP doesn’t get hit too hard.
The slotted rotors are much more noticeable behind the Apex than the CSLs.

I still can’t get over how different the car looks with these wheels.

Your car makes me hate my silbergrau sedan.
Nothing quite new with my car. Vorshlag pushed my drop off date back to Oct 2, and I'm getting in on that JRZ group buy. I had been planning on just tracking for a bit with the BCs, but 20% off is too good a deal to pass up for RS Two's.
