I'll see if I can swing by! But I'll be a bit south in the land of carb regulations and everything causes cancer

Man I feel like I'm spamming this thread. Car is pretty much wrapped up aside from wheels off and being on stands - I'm gonna have a look at my RS4s and decide if I want to swap them to my new style 68s now, or after this weekend's track day.
I pulled off both side skirts to look for rust as well. But as they were replaced in 2016, everything was minty and covered in a nice layer of cosmoline - just the way I like it. Also replaced a few broken clips since I noticed my skirt ever so slightly protruding where they were loose.

Yeah, salt on the roads is crazy. I feel like it is the most abrasive factor for sure.
I hope that I will be done with it soon. Thank you for teasing us, people from rust belt-:))))
I keep forgetting about west side of Canada as being salt free.

I've read about some people on the German forums not even driving their E46 in the rain because of fear of rust. From my experience in NC, where it feels like my car has basically been flooded multiple times, I've never had issues with water causing rust, even on exposed metal where the paint is gone. The catch is that it also has to be super hot, otherwise the water won't evaporate and then I can see how rain can cause rust. Salt is definitely the main problem though.
Bought a plane ticket to go pick up my 3rd ZHP...Goodbye Imola Elite, hello Mystic Blue umm elite?
