Repaired two dime-sized windshield dings on each of my 330xi’s using “Blue Star” windshield repair kits. The results were very good, and application was simple. I tried to repair a windshield a couple years ago and failed miserably using a “3M” kit (cracked the windshield). Also refurbished the headlight lenses on both cars using various grades of emery cloth (600, 1200, 1500, and 2000) and lens polish.

My hitch just shipped from Germany. Sad thing is that it's using Deutsche Post, which seems to be having suuuuper long lead times (people have reported up to 60-80 days in US and Canada). So hoping it comes in time, but there's a very slim chance I may have to buy the janky Curt hitch and drill into my spare tire well :crying

Got the Bilstein B14s installed. From what I believe they’re similar to PSS10 but locked in the half way mark. At least I can adjust ride height.
Driving home was met with much more controlled ride in all the bumps and dips compared to stock. It’s still more comfortable compared to KWV2 on my E46M.
The great thing about this was Rockauto sells it for $750USD and I got to use a 5% coupon to get the price even lower. Compared to having compression/damping adjustments at $1825USD. Great value if you want better ride quality than OEM. I’ll learn how they handle after they break-in a bit and after I get ride height/alignment set.

eKombi (sump temp) turned out to be very close in temp to what the DME is reporting. Man, I wish I would've been able to data log, then I could just graph the temp over time. The delta between the two was never greater than 5 deg C. At low temps, eKombi was generally lower, at higher temps up to steady-state it was generally higher. I only got up to ~112C (eKombi) and ~105C (DME) but I'd bet the delta wouldn't be much more, at higher oil temps. I guess I'm really getting up to ~140C on track? Again odd, compared to last year when I was peaking at 125C.
It was funny to see though, when I did a pull on a highway on-ramp the DME temps increased about 7C immediately after, putting it above the eKombi temp, then settled back down lower than the eKombi temp. Makes sense though!
Well, this worked a treat. I tested both pumps and holy hell they sound a whole lot better and blow more air than my old pump. One is better than the other - one is smooth like butter, one has a bit of a scraping noise, but still not nearly as bad as my original one. I put the one with the scraping noise in my car, and it's much less noticeable with the hood closed than how it was before. No more CEL and the SAP system works fine again!Quote:
