I sourced new wipers, and leather shift boots (shifter and ebrake handle) for my ZHP today.
I'll be taking off the Alcantara shift boots and packaging them with my Alcantara steering wheel so I can send it to Coby wheels to have everything refreshed for the upcoming car season / BMW CCA Octoberfest :cool
I topped off my oil to learn my valve cover is leaking. Someone gave me an M56 valve cover, but I'm not sure I care to go through with that retrofit. I still have this nasty rear end clunk, but when going through my papers for the year (tax season vibes), I noticed I got two alignments within 600 miles where the rear toe was way off. In fact, all my rear toe alignments were super off. I strongly suspect I broke the turner motorsport aspherical RTABs.
That being said, anyone know where I can get an RTAB tool? Massive progress on my iDrive retrofit, but I suspect I already shared that here...
looool what the heck, how did you get a free M56 valve cover? Those aren't cheap unless you're lucky to find one in a junkyard. I just did my VCG, I hope the VC itself isn't leaking... if it is then I'll go to the M56 VC.Quote:

Hah, yes, you’re absolutely free to feel how f*cling scary and awful it is. I’m drawing a strong conclusion based on how much my toe varies between alignments. Perhaps when I ripped my sway bar, I also broke the aluminum RTAB. It feels like the entire rear axle moves forward and backward, but usually drivetrain load makes this phenomenon hard to feel until you clutch out, throw it in neutral and drive on a dumpy bumpy uneven road. Entire rear feels like it walks. I suspect the load of the wheel help keeps the RTAB pegged one way or another, and with no load, it’s “variable rear wheel steer.” The floor was reinforced with no visible cracks within 1,000 miles of purchase.Quote:

It has been a while! I also saw someone selling their 200k miles ZHP 6spd vert for 10k. Makes me feel like I got mine for a steal.

+1. I have exactly same hooks installed on my sedan. I got then off Ebay pretty cheap. I think they are B6 or B7 Audi A4 generation. I used them since similar part from e90 BMW was significantly more expensive.Quote:
